Final Product, Audience Feedback and reflections

Above is the final cut of our music video, which we had gotten feedback on from the audience before exporting it. The audience altogether seemed to enjoy the video, saying that the narrative of 'couples throughout eras' or of 'romance through time' was clear.

Most of the audience members were also able to confirm the genre of the song as indie-pop, while a few said either pop, or indie-rock.

From this feedback, we can see that our band identity has been structured well, and also that the audience enjoyed the narrative of the music video. The end dance sequence came up frequently as their favourite part of the video.

Reflections:

Overall, I am pleased with our music video, because:

  • The narrative is easily understandable
  • The editing pace is much quicker than it was before, and this has created an enjoyable experience for our audience
  • The end dance sequence is climactic now, and the match-on-actions are quite good
However, there are a few things that I would have liked to change, such as the grading of the ECU of Jacob, which seem to be less vibrant than the other band shots, but these do not take too much away from the video's quality, and the audience have not picked up on it, so I think that overall our music video is quite good.
