Designing the website

As we're shooting, we're also working on our website. Having decided the basic design of the website in pre-production, we were able to do almost everything that we planned to do, such as keeping to our colour scheme (synergistic with our album cover) which is dark grey and rainbow colours (red, yellow, green and blue).

Also, we've kept the collage-style that we had planned as well, but with the pictures being 'stuck' onto the page with tape, used on most pages of the website. We include this on the 'about' page for the band, where each individual is stuck to the page. The audience then click on the member they want to find out more about and it sends them through to the individual 'about' page.

An example of the coloured borders and 'stuck-down' style

One of the current individual 'about' pages. Each person has been designated a colour, and we are planning to write a biography for the audience to read as well.
In the same collage style, we have created a gallery, with photos that extend when you hover over them, offering another layer of interactivity for the audience. There is a lot of photos on the website, because then the audience can spend time looking through the pictures, seeing what happens behind the scenes, and feel more involved with the band.

One of the 'accordion' galleries, which cause the picture to show when hovered over.

However, the loading of the gallery page is very slow, possibly due to the number of pictures on it, so we need to re-think the number of pictures, or put them onto separate pages.
